# Third-party notices

The Attune website adapts code from three MIT-licensed libraries, bundles MIT-licensed npm packages and self-hosts three fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Everything else (layout, styles, light rig, icons, diagrams and copy) is original to this site. The placeholder mark comes from Attune's own design kit (`design-kit-oct19/preview/assets/attune-mark.svg`).

## Adapted source code (MIT)

### Componentry: scroll choreography

- Upstream: https://github.com/harshjdhv/componentry, commit `b602c2872fea85c9f2464016ce3bbe0af17b51b4`, file `packages/ui/src/components/scroll-choreography.tsx`
- Used in: the "How it works" sequence.
  - `src/islands/sequence/Choreography.tsx`: the tall track with a sticky frame, `useScroll` with the offsets `["start start", "end end"]`, the same `useSpring` settings (stiffness 400, damping 50, mass 1.2) and piecewise `useTransform` keyframes with holds.
  - `src/islands/sequence/sequence.css`: the track and sticky frame rules (`.chor`, `.chor__sticky`).
- The port comes through design composition B (`compositions/b-forest-stage/src/components/sequence/Choreography.tsx`), which changed it to seven stages with plateaus, measured positions, stage keys and a moving key light.

### Motion Primitives: morphing dialog and transition panel

- Upstream: https://github.com/ibelick/motion-primitives, commit `120f64f6ca60348e251f929e9c81f11ccbe45eda`, files `components/core/morphing-dialog.tsx` and `components/core/transition-panel.tsx`
- Used in: the "How it works" sequence.
  - `src/islands/sequence/ComposerDialog.tsx` (from `morphing-dialog.tsx`): the composer and the dialog share one `layoutId`, the dialog renders in a portal inside `AnimatePresence`, Escape closes it, Tab cycles inside it and focus returns to the composer.
  - `src/islands/sequence/hooks.ts` (from `morphing-dialog.tsx`): `trapTab` and `focusables` (the Tab cycling) and `useScrollLock` (the page scroll lock while the dialog is open).
  - `src/islands/sequence/Choreography.tsx` (from `transition-panel.tsx`): the stage text panel in the rail, `AnimatePresence` in `popLayout` mode keyed by the active stage.
- The port comes through design composition B (`compositions/b-forest-stage/src/components/ComposerDialog.tsx`, `src/hooks.ts` and `src/components/sequence/Choreography.tsx`).

### Untitled UI: form field pattern

- Upstream: https://github.com/untitleduico/react, commit `1d410cb8facde8d50869e7bbb5f3d048e2267466`, files `components/base/input/input.tsx`, `components/base/input/label.tsx`, `components/base/input/hint-text.tsx`, `components/base/textarea/textarea.tsx` and `components/base/select/select-native.tsx`
- Used in: the demo request form.
  - `src/islands/demo/DemoForm.tsx`: the field structure (a visible label above the control, the message below it and linked by `aria-describedby`), a native `select` with a drawn chevron that ignores pointer events, and an alert glyph inside an invalid control.
  - `src/islands/demo/demo-form.css`: the same states restyled in plain CSS with Attune tokens (no Tailwind, no React Aria).

The astro license also covers parts of astro that come from SvelteKit (`Copyright (c) 2020 [these people](https://github.com/sveltejs/kit/graphs/contributors)`) and Vite (`Copyright (c) 2019-present, Yuxi (Evan) You and Vite contributors`), under the same MIT text.

## Fonts (SIL Open Font License 1.1)

| Font | File | Copyright | License text |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, variable 400 to 600 | `/fonts/AtkinsonHyperlegibleNext-wght400-600.woff2` | Copyright 2020-2024 The Atkinson Hyperlegible Next Project Authors (https://github.com/googlefonts/atkinson-hyperlegible-next) | [atkinson-hyperlegible-next-OFL.txt](./atkinson-hyperlegible-next-OFL.txt) |

| Newsreader, instanced at opsz 48, wght 400 to 600, Latin subset | `/fonts/Newsreader-opsz48-wght400-600-latin.woff2` | Copyright 2020 The Newsreader Project Authors (http://github.com/productiontype/Newsreader) | [newsreader-OFL.txt](./newsreader-OFL.txt) |

The two Atkinson files are unmodified copies from `design-kit-oct19/fonts/`. The Newsreader file is a Modified Version under the OFL: design composition A instanced and subset it (`compositions/a-editorial/src/fonts/`). Newsreader's license declares no Reserved Font Name, so the modified file keeps the family name. The site's CSS names it `Newsreader Display`.

The full license text for each font ships beside this file in `/licenses/`.
